Inalam namin sa manager ni Kirby de Jesus kung ano ang naramdaman ng
bagets after his elimination from StarStruck last Friday. Umiyak daw
ng konti ang bagets nang magkita-kita sila sa office niya sa Murphy,
Cubao pero, agad ding napayapa nang pagsabihang it’s not the end of
his career.
Aminado naman si Kirby na malaki ang nagawa sa kanya ng artista
search. Kung dati’y pa-VTR-VTR lang siya, ngayon ay posibleng
sumikat na artista dahil sa exposure sa pagsali sa artista search.
Bago pala magsimula ang StarStruck last Friday, nakita namin si
Kirby habang palabas kasama ang Survivor Six para magpakita sa fans
na hindi nakapasok sa Cinema 4 ng SM Megamall. Bumati ito sa amin at
nang aming tanungin kung ninenerbyos, hindi ito nagsalita at sa
halip, paulit-ulit na tinapik ang left chest na ang ibig sabihin ay
kinakabahan siya.
Hindi pala binanggit nina Jolina Magdangal at Dingdong Dantes ang
total scores ng Survivor Six. Marami tuloy ang nagtatanong kung
paano nakapasok sa Final 4 sina LJ Reyes, Ryza Cenon, CJ Muere at
Mike Tan at kung paano na-eliminate sina Kirby at Megan Young.
Heto, nakakuha kami ng copy ng score sheet at dito malalaman kung
paano ang kanilang ranking. Ang first figure ay votes at `yung
second figure ay percentage ng total votes.

Sa mga fans nina Kirby at Megan, dapat hindi lng cla ang minahal nyo, sna pati ang show. Alalahanin nyo na dahil sa Starstruck, sumikat cla… Kung iniisip nyo na cla ang ginagamit ng starstruck pra makakuha ng mataas n ratings, isipin nyo rin na mlaki ang naitulong ng starstruck sa kanila upang sumikat at maging ganap n artista…
Tama ka shane sa tingin ko dapat yung show ang minahal and hindi lang yung bet nila. Ako aaminin ko favorite ko si chris pero nung natanggal siya nakita ko rin naman yung mga faults niya. I think na deserving yung apat ngayon. Lahat sila ay determined and may talent sila. Hindi ko naman sinasabi na walang talent sina Kirby and Megan…Pero kung titingnan mo may mga faults din both of them.

Hey, in fairness, CJ deserves to be in the final four. Though wildcard sya, he had proven that he works hard on every test given to him. Look, on the week prior to announcement of final four, he was appreciated sa comedy and sa drama and was second on the dancing. Wala pa ngang singing and hosting which are also his forte. The guy may not look that good but he has talents and he works hard.
He may be rich but should it stop it from pursuing his dream of being an actor? It should not. Everybody should pursue his dreams.
Anyway, lets just wish the final four good luck. May their stars shine.
all of the final 4 has the equal opportunity to show to everyone they got what it take to be the Ultimate Survivor!
this week, their acting prowess was given the spotlight.
All of them have unique stories, but we can obviously pin point which among these stories touched our hearts.
Mike T.’s life story is very dramatic, having a sick mother to take care of can really shed tears to most emotional people.
Ryza on the other hand, can really act! Her life story can add interest to people.
CJ is one guy with alot of potential, really! His story was original!
While LJ has failed to convey the essence of her story. Very average acting & not that convincing story!
My forecast who among them will be recognized is Ryza or CJ.

I was expecting for a Mike Tan vs Kirby De Jesus showdown sa Final Judgment dahil magiging mas exciting ito! Why? Kirby and Mike are true to life rivals dba? (Krizzy issue?) Tapos nagulat ako na out of nowhere si CJ ang pumasok. Admit it, si CJ e bibo pero senxa na si CJ ha? Kc d kita type manalo, prangkahan lang, O.A. ka kaseng umacting. Sana ung swabe lang po.
Then, si Megan ang inaasahan kong makapasok. Why? She is the most promising and the most beautiful (beauty queen a model face)survivor sa lahat. She can be a tough rival of ABSCBN’s Bea Alonzo or Kristin Hermosa. Very promising si Megan at isa pa, she sings better than of LJ. LJ senxa ka na, i admit ur d bubbliest among the survivors pero dka gnong StarStruck sa tv screens. Ryza vs Megan are both unpredictable dahil prehong maganda silang talaga! Kaya exciting sana di ba?
Fact, the last few days of scq, starting wednesday made starstruck ratings drag down. 28.9% na ang scq against 22.3% sa ss. alam natin na ngayon lang umariba ang kabila, well… ending na sila. but generally, talo ang scq sa tv ratings against ss. for 4months na mataas at malayo ang agwat natin sa scq ngun lang tyo nataasan kung kelan final week na nila.
can starstruck make this before they end up the show? we all know mauuna sila kaysa sa atin. pero alam nyo, sna di nyo na lang tinanggal si megan at kirby.

Actually, nagescape lng ako sa Sunday class namin para makapunta sa SM..late p nga ako ng 30 min. Ang sikip2 dahil sobrang dami ng tao.. Ang mga tables sa foodcourt ay pinapatungan n ng mga tao. Halos atakihin ang isang security gard dhil s makukulit ang mga fans… Kahit mga matatanda nandun na rin. Ang ganda tlaga n raiza at LJ. Ang dming fans ni mike. C CJ naman, khit hindi masyadong observable ang mukha sa TV ay npakagwapo pla sa personal… The Final 4 really desrves to be in their slot… Gud luck n lng s kanilang 4

I know that naman eh. I am not a fool pretending I don’t see the better side of GMA7. Although I am anti GMA7, alam ko, meron pa ring laban ito sa ABSCBN, dahil kung walang competition, what’s the reason para sa mga pagpapagandahan at pabonggahan ng shows.?
Ako kasi ang taong porke’t kontra ako sa isang bagay, wala nang nakikita kundi ang mga neg. sides. I am not that type of guy. Maybe, parati an lang neg, ang binibigay ko sa GMA pero yung totoo lang. I do not exaggerate it.
Best things to do to a bunch of scq postcards when a Starstruck fan/Anti-scq person gets some from purchasing clothes in a/an *******-(I’m not telling what this shop’s name is) shop advertising scq related things:
I. Send them to someone/somebody…
>To properly do these, first get the following materials, color PEN, black marker pen, and/or ballpoint pen. Get any of these materials (I suggest the black marker pen) then get the postcard you have. Then instead of going for the back page of the postcard to write something, you should first decorate the front page. You may do anything you like here like drawing pointy horns on hiro/sandarac/joros/melesa/roxam’S head, you may also use the colored pen to draw realistic blood on their oral cavities, make their eyes to a bloodshot color, and turn their clothing to rags and stuff. After this you may now write a message at the back of it. Then after all of these you have done, you can now crumple it and then throw it to the trash box. By this manner, you are now very secure that it will reach the dumpsite where scavengers could have it. O see?

Let me give u this info:
StarStruck innovated the first reality concept of artista search, and during those times, wala pang alam gano sa StarStruck (Oct2003). I myself, commented against StarStruck before, sabi ko dati, baduy, corny.. Remember, halos ipatigil na nito ng GMA management coz the first two months of StarStruck didn’t do well in the ratings game? Kung baga, most of the viewers ay nasa hangover pa ng Meteor Garden ng ABSCBN at most of the televiewers are on Ch2 primetym.
E2 na.. unti unting nadidiskubre ng mga viewers (mostly teens) ang ingay ng StarStruck, I myself got my first hook up nung tanggalan portion, i remember ung matunog na si Tyrone Perez sa show, sya pa ung natanggal. My first impact on that show, sabi ko, nakakakaba palang sumali dito at may tanggalan din pala, the cardiac moment, dub dub.. dubdub.. added up the thrill of the show. At that time, naging maugong na rin ung comparison between American Idol at StarStruck (Dun lang ako namulat na may American Idol pla at ung concept ng tanggalan e doon din nakuha) but the big difference of these two shows is that ung isa, singing contest, at ang StarStruck ay artista search talaga.
That was November, then naging usapusapan na yan sa university namin. “Nood kayo ng StarStruck! Sana di matanggal si Dion!” On those shoutouts, nagiging famous na unti unti ang show. Na hook up nako wen Katrina Halili got eliminated. Napansin ko na rin dito si Rainier Castillo na heart pounding pag ngumiti (remember, sya ang naging hit sa show). Sabi ko wow.. ibang klase pala itong StarStruck, may tanggalan. Ung mga dating ordinaryong teens, sikat na sila ngayon in an instant. Dahil “newly born to fame” pa lang ang show, it suddenly surge on ratings.
Nkakabilib din lalo na may votings pa pala sya. On those times, wala pang ganong participation ang pinoy dahil hook up lang sila sa show. I myself didnt vote, but i love the show since then.
Lalo akong napabilib nung nationwide tour ng Final Four, may mga hinimatay, may mga umiyak at talagang dinagsa sila ng husto. I said to myself, ganito pala ang nagagawa ng StarStruck.. tama lang ang kanilang motto na Dream..Believe and Survive…
Usap usapan na kahit saan ang Final Four at mga bets! I remember bet ko si Rainier at Jen na manalo! Ang sarap ng feeling na manood ka ng StarStruck lalo na nung papalapit na ang Final Judgment.
Final Judgment, dinagsa at jampacked ang Big Dome hanggang labas, the GMA management didnt expect na ganito pala ang magiging output ng StarStruck sa Pilipinas. Even DingDOng Dantes and Nancy Castiliogne didn’t expect na dudumugin pala sila dat judgment day and the whole GMA staff were surprised! Maraming sponsors ang biglang kumagat sa StarStruck na dating wala.

un ang naging statement ng ilang mga columnists na umattend sa Araneta. Undeniably, that historic night of StarStruck, marked the “start of the trend” ng reality artista search..
I myself nanghinayang at natapos na xa kung kailan few weeks ko pa lang xa napapanood, the same feelings din to some na nanood ng StarStruck before.
Fresh pa ang trend, at maraming nainspire na sumali, i myself nagtaka, pano kaya nakasali sina rainier etc dun? kasi ang galing.. sikat sila kaagad. parang kailan lang, di sila kilala ngun kilala na sila sa buong pinas.. (ako nga rin nainspire pero hanggang “dream” concept lang ako, hehehe).

Of kors, the trend is on fire kaya umentra na ang SCQ na dati kilala lang as Star Circle. They made it reality this time, a blunt answer for GMA’s StarStruck success. StarStruck Kids came up as another kiddie version of StarStruck. But what did abscbn do? Pati Kids di nila pinalampasan, kaya they add the kid quest portion. See? Ayaw ng abscbn palamang sa GMA that time kaya badtrip ako sa ABSCBN sa ganong style nila!
Dahil uso ang artista search on tv, ito ang naging legacy ng StarStruck sa mga kokopya o gagaya ng show.
And that’s why, dahil sa anticipation ng tao, marami ang nagparticipate sa voting (like StarStruck voting) din ng scq. No wonder, umabot nga ng milyon ang boto kila sndara. I dont know kung utos ito ng management ng dos dahil wala silang alam na maipantapat sa ss2 ng gma. Just as when StarStruck 2 was aired on October, scq gave in to scq 2 same as StarStruck 2 airings. Why must abscbn do this? i think, wlang ktapat ang starstruck 2 and abscbn knows the spirit of the starstruck’s success, that’s why, they must polish immediately another scq, eventhough katatapos lang nung june. Remember, their first scq started nung april and ended nung june and started again nung oct, all time frame is just w/in 2004 only. Nagpanic ba ang abscbn sa StarStruck2? YES. That’s why SCQ2 na rin sila nung oct.
Inakala ng abscbn na fair competition ito, but what was the timeslot of scq2? kung saan saan na ito inilipat ng timeslot against starstruck na very stable ang ratings at timeslot.
Some abscbn fans, naghamon para itapat ang ss sa scq, e baket mukang mas malikot ang timeslot ng scq sa ss? dapat noon nyo pa itinapat ang scq sa ss! dahil ang ss hndi nagbago ng timeslot! Baket? it’s boring. megan and kirby should have been there. they present a better alternative to the current 4 kasi. there’s just no heat between mike and cj. and there ryza and lj. ryza and lj are so similar and offer the same.
megan would have offered a unique alternative as she has this elegance that’s really lacking in most star search contestants.
kirby’s strong hold on fans would have created some exciting buzz against that of mike’s matinee idol looks. cj is a okay but there’s no heat between him and mike. that’s why i stopped voting for mike as cj is no contest.

but it’s a contest & w/in a contest merong natatalo, merong nananalo. at sa isang contest merong mga sets of judges n nagdedecide kung sinong mananalo. malas lang cguro ni kirby hindi sya nagustuhan ng council at ng mga experts. pwede rin namang mali rin ang decision nila, because they opted to chose un someone who has the talent rather than looks.

Marami pang upuan ang unoccupied, means, kakaunti lang ang dnanood ng LTLB. But I didn’t say na nilangaw kayo, pero kakaunti lang talaga ang nanuod. Naiinggit nga ako sa mga nakapanoo ng dreamboy, mas marami pala ang nanuod. Sa bagay, basta Star Cinema, quality talaga.
